Smart Start Exceptional Student Education offers a highly individualized curriculum rooted in the teaching methods of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with special needs*. Our students will be assessed based on their individual abilities and will receive a customized learning experience with small student to teach ratio, and 1:1 supports**.
Our teachers will hold bachelor’s degree or higher, have experience in Applied Behavior Analysis as well as teaching students of special needs. For a full bio see Meet the Team section. Everyone working with Students directly are checked for criminal background checks at a level 2 using fingerprints through FDLW every 5 years as well as through the Agency for Healthcare Administration, and other databases to check for revoked teaching certificates and other disciplinary checks, previous employment reference checks are also conducted.
*A parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
**1:1 support is available for children who meet medical necessity requirements for ABA with a physician’s prescription, authorization from medical insurance through our company. No outside support will be granted.
